Update on Location Independent and the “Art and Money” Guide
It’s time for the Sunday Store Update. I use this time every Sunday afternoon to tell you more about the small business I’m building to support the rest of the site.
I have a no-hype marketing policy, and I ask that you don’t buy anything from me unless you have a clear need for the product. All regular content is ad-free and freely available.

I have two quick updates today, one about last week’s joint venture and the other about the upcoming Art and Money guide.
Update #1: Location Independent –
Last week I kicked off a new partnership with Lea Woodward’s LocationIndependent program. This is the first joint venture I’ve done in 14 months of publishing AONC – and LI is really a fabulous resource that has already helped many people create lives of independence from anywhere in the world.
One of the things Lea and I talked about by email over the past few days is that her course is a bit more expensive than some other resources. Personally, I think it’s well worth it (naturally, I wouldn’t endorse anything I hadn’t carefully reviewed), but I also know that not everyone needs the whole solution that Location Independent provides.
If you’re interested but don’t need the whole course, Lea went through all the materials over the past few days to separate the learning modules for individual purchase. Those modules are now for sale on her site along with the full course – just click through the link on the bottom of her info page to look at the options.
As promised, over the next few weeks, Lea and I will get together and work on creating the joint module for all AONC readers who are a part of Location Independent. Check it out here for more info.
Update #2: The Unconventional Guide to Art and Money –
My first Unconventional Guide in more than two months is all about helping artists of all kinds become more successful with their art. Among other materials, we’ve got lengthy interviews with four major artists who have all created full-time careers that enable them to create the art they love.
I said a couple of weeks ago that we hoped to launch Art and Money on May 11. Then all of a sudden, May 10 showed up! I have absolutely no idea how that happened, but it looks like it has in fact arrived. Since May 11 is approximately six hours away, I don’t think we’ll make the intended launch date.
That said, the guide is nearly done, and it’s good. My on-location colleague (more about her next week) and I recently completed 95% of the work, and I’m almost ready to send the manual portion over to Reese, who does all of my design.
Once the design phase is complete, I think we can launch it up late next week – but I’ll know for sure in a few days. Thanks for your patience as we make everything as excellent as it should be.

That’s it for today – see you tomorrow, when we’ll look at using multiple spheres of influence to build widespread authority.
It’s a more advanced look at some of the concepts behind the 279 Days report, and shows how to use a combination of media, blogs, social networking, and traditional hustling to create more interest in your work. I think you’ll like it.
