In April 2016 I’ll begin an all-new adventure, and I’d love for you to come along. Post a comment over on Facebook—or fill out this form if you’d like to be fancy—and let me know where I should go.
Why a Book Tour?
Because Readers Are Awesome
Way back in the day, I did an “Unconventional Book Tour” to all 50 states and 10 Canadian provinces (plus a couple extra stops thrown in for good measure).
It was so much fun. I loved every part of it. I loved going to West Virginia, where four people showed up. I loved staying in Motel 6 (not bad except for the drug deals happening next door).
Best of all was meeting many readers and hearing their stories. Five years on, some of you are even still out there (hey guys!).
So naturally, when my new book arrives in April, I’m going to do it again. I probably won’t hit up West Virginia again—apologies to my four friends there—but I’m definitely up for going to a bunch of places.
In fact, I’ll be going to at least 30 cities on this tour. Which ones? Well, that’s the thing. I have a pretty good idea of where about 20 of them should be. But this leaves at least 10 more!

From the very beginning of this project, the best meetups and tour stops have been reader-initiated.
We’re looking for a few good amazing co-hosts for local events. Co-hosts work together with me and the local venue to ensure that everyone has a great experience. This is not always a small job—it takes a lot of work to put together a great event. But it can also be fun and worthwhile when you see everyone who shows up to share cupcakes and stories.
There might even be cupcakes
If you’re interested in taking on this role, either on your own or in cooperation with a couple of other folks, let me know.
Friends and readers, I can’t tell you how excited I am to get back out on the road in the spring—and I hope to meet you at one of the stops. Over the holidays we’ll firm up the city selections and make a schedule. Then in January, we’ll release the schedule and a way for you to sign up.
