A Small Army of Remarkable People
From time to time I write about the importance of recruiting your own small army to help you achieve your goals. If you’re open-minded, unsatisfied with a conventional life, and identify with what I have to say, I’d love to have you in my army. Here are a few ways you can help.
First, Say Hello!
I enjoy hearing from people who are on their own unconventional journeys or otherwise interested in the ideas presented here. Please feel free to write in and introduce yourself. You can also say hi and share your feedback in the comments section of most posts. (We leave comments open for five days, and try to post up as many as possible.)
I post live updates from anywhere I go on Twitter, I recently started a Facebook fan page, and once in a while I’ll post something on LinkedIn. Feel free to connect with me in any or all places.
Keep Up by Email or RSS
I don’t want to lose you, so sign up here for email updates or subscribe here to RSS. The email list also includes the “6 Ways to Change the World” series.
Spread the Word
Links are the currency of the internet. If you read something here and judge it to be worthy of greater attention, please share it with your own network of followers. You can do this through your blog, web site, or social network (Twitter, Facebook, etc.).
Products
The AONC site is ad-free, but check out the up-and-coming Unconventional Guides store for the business side of our command center.
Media
According to some people, I am an expert on international travel and creative self-employment. Since starting this site in March 2008, I have been fortunate to receive media coverage from many great publications, including the New York Times, NPR, Forbes, Fortune, Entrepreneur, Business Week, Psychology Today, Washington Times, CNN, Huffington Post, MSNBC, and many others. If you represent a media outlet, please let me know if I can help with anything.
Speaking to Groups
I like to visit groups and talk about how to change the world while living life on your own terms. Whenever possible, I prefer shorter talks with more interaction instead of long speeches. For more information, just send me a note. To arrange a $100 Startup event in your city, fill out this form.
